Our vision at Flamingo is to have a greener world where we and our pets can enjoy. So, we are looking into substitutes to every new product that we are putting in our catalog. New in 2021, we introduced “Flamingo Green” that has 67 products made on the basis of recycled or recyclable natural materials to minimize generation of waste. Non-recycled plastics are non existent in the products and packaging of this range. But we have ended up picking all the products that are “Flamingo Green”.
In our regular range, however, at the end of 2022 because we do not want to distinguish between sustainable and not-sustainable items, but we would like to make sustainability an objective. Within the last two years we have converted 34 items made out of recycled plastic which include cat litter boxes, carriers, baskets, and feeders just to name a few. There are also a few dozen baskets and beds for pets made of recycled polyester fiber and 4 commodities associated with environmentally friendly poop bags, which contain plant-based materials that are fully compatible with home composting.

On January 1, 2023, we will add to our product information management system whether a product has recycled materials as well as the percentage of the recycled materials.
